Chance Encounter

Remember that Harper’s Bazaar editorial in 2007 with artworks commissioned to commemorate the release of The Simpsons movie? Well, the other day I stumbled upon a post at TrendLand which actually showed me the photos that inspired the spread (make sure to visit the link). From Alber Elbaz swapping necklaces with Lisa in the picture above to Marge looking rather ferosh linking arms with Jean-Paul Gaultier (see picture below), this has got to be one of my favourite editorials ever, a delightful meeting of pop and high culture. Further, NOTCOT also posted pictures in 2007 of the featured designers with the paintings they inspired!
